Germination of seedlings

Observation Activity 1.2 Class 8 Science

The seedlings planted in soil containing manure in pot A show better growth, and the seedlings in Pot B which contains urea(fertilizer) show maximum and faster growth.

But seedlings in pot C which contains only soil do not show better growth.

Explanation Activity 1.2 Class 8 Science

Pot B contains fertilizers that are rich in particular minerals the plant needs. So seedlings show maximum and fast growth.

Pot A contains manure that is rich in organic nutrients, so seedlings in pot A also show fast growth. But Pot C contains only plain soil, so seedlings do not get nutrients thus they show less growth.

Conclusion Activity 1.2 Class 8 Science

Activity 1.1 class 8 science shows that an adequate amount of nutrients or minerals is needed for the better growth of plants. These nutrients and minerals are provided by adding manure or fertilizers.
