Image formed by convex mirror when object between infinity and pole

we will place the object between infinity and pole and draw the diagram of image formation by convex mirror by following rule for making ray diagram by spherical mirror.

Image formation by convex mirror

Steps to draw to ray diagram

   1.   Draw the diagram of a convex mirror

   2.   Place the object at the given position

   3.   Follow the rules for making a ray diagram

Draw the diagram of convex mirror

Image formation by convex mirror

Place the object in the given position

We will place the object between infinity and the pole at any place in front of the convex mirror.

Follow the rules for making a ray diagram

A light ray from point ‘A’ of the object incident parallel to the principal axis on the convex mirror.

The second light ray from the same point (A) incidents on the mirror in the direction of point C behind the mirror.

The parallel ray diverges in such a direction that appears coming from the focus point F.

The second ray returns back in the same path. (see the rules)

Both the rays seem to meet behind the convex mirror between F and P.
