Activity 2.6 – Examination of daily diet
Aim
To examine the
daily diet and check whether all essential nutrients are being consumed.
Materials Required
1. Pen and notebook
2. Home
Science book
Procedure
We examine our daily diet by recalling the food items
consumed during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then we identify the nutrients
provided by each meal.
After that, we check whether all essential nutrients
such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, fibre and water are included.
If we find any deficiency, then we modify the diet by
adding appropriate food items to ensure a balanced intake of nutrients.
