In this activity, we will prepare a flow chart for diversity in reproduction and respiration according to the given flow chart of diversity in feeding.
Classification of Living Organisms Activity Solution
This activity is based on the NIOS Class 10 science
and technology (212) Chapter 19- Classification of Living Organisms Module 5-
The Living World
Aim
To prepare a flow chart showing the diversity in reproduction
and respiration among living organisms.
Materials Required
1. White
sheet
2. Pencil,
colours
3. Flow
chart boxes
4. Glue
Procedure
We will go through the flow chart on diversity in
feeding different living organisms.
Now we draw two separate flow charts on
(i) Diversity in reproduction
(ii) Diversity in respiration
We will use the words given in the brackets and
arrange the terms from the main heading, and divide them into subgroups.

Observation and Explanation
Living organisms show diversity in reproduction. They use
different reproduction methods; some use asexual reproduction, e.g. amoeba, hydra, and some use sexual reproduction, e.g, human and other mammals.
The living organisms also show diversity in
respiration. Some use oxygen from air or water; this is called aerobic
respiration. Some do not require oxygen; this is called anaerobic respiration.
Organisms live in a large region called the biosphere. Different
ecosystems like ponds, oceans, mountains, rivers, and deserts support different species.
Conclusion
This activity shows that the diversity in reproduction and
respiration in living organisms depends on their structure, habitat and environment.
